KPF Journalist Delegation to Sweden - Electrification
Stockholm & Gothenburg, 12-17 June 2025 – The Sweden+Korea Green Transition Alliance co-hosted the Korea Press Foundation’s Journalist Delegation programme in the topic of Electrification.
As part of Team Sweden’s third initiative to spotlight Swedish innovation in electrification, a media delegation program was co-hosted with the Korea Press Foundation, marking the second collaboration between the two partners. The program aimed to engage Korean media in Sweden’s sustainable energy transition, with a focus on power electronics, energy infrastructure, next-generation batteries, and applications such as electric transportation and industrial equipment.
Six journalists from leading Korean media outlets—KBS, Dong-A Science, MTN, Energy Economy, News1, and The JoongAng—were selected through a competitive process.
Over the course of four days, the delegation visited Stockholm and Gothenburg, meeting with ten Swedish representatives from government, municipalities, research institutes, and industry. The visit highlighted Sweden’s triple helix model, showcasing cross-sector collaboration that drives climate technology and global competitiveness.
Following the trip, 17 articles were published across print, online, broadcast, and magazine formats, with additional coverage expected. The program successfully promoted Swedish sustainable solutions and their relevance to South Korea’s climate neutrality goals.
