Sweden+Korea Hydrogen Roundtable Program during H2 MEET

Ilsan, 14 September 2023 - Hydrogen experts from Sweden and South Korea exchanged insights on the opportunities and challenges, and explored avenues for collaboration in the hydrogen economy.

Sweden’s national strategy, hydrogen ecosystem and support measure were introduced to the Korean target audience from the industry Sweden, endowed with abundant renewable resources, has committed to achieving a climate neutral society by 2045, recognizing hydrogen’s pivotal role in the transition to net zero greenhouse gas emission.

Given both countries’ alignment with NDC 2030 targets and their emphasis on the energy transition, their respective strengths and area of development can complement each other in establishing a sustainable and efficient hydrogen based economy. By forging a strategic partnership, these nations can make significant strides towards a greener and more sustainable future.

During the H2 MEET exhibition, one of the largest hydrogen industrial exhibition in Asia, Business Sweden hosted a Swedish pavilion and introduced Sweden’s hydrogen ecosystem through two programs - Swedish Hydrogen Production & Fuel Cell Seminar and Hydrogen Roundtable Program.

From Sweden, Swedish Energy Agency, Swedish e-Mobility Center and three alliance members - Alfa Laval, Cell Impact Kraftpowercon - presented and participated as panelist whereas KEPCO and SK Ecoplant participated on behalf of Korean side.
