EU Green Day Festival 2025
Seoul, 9 November 2025 – Sweden joined the EU Green Day Festival at Namsan Hanok Village, marking the 10th anniversary of the Paris Agreement and reaffirming global climate action.

The event, organised under EU Green Diplomacy Week 2025 by the EU Delegation and EU Member State embassies, brought together hundreds of participants for a day dedicated to sustainability and civic engagement.
At the Sweden booth, visitors explored Swedish concepts of plogging, the PANTA recycling system, and the LAGOM lifestyle, alongside the Sweden+Korea Green Transition Alliance (GTA). Launched on Earth Day 2021, GTA is a public–private partnership supporting Korea’s green transition and carbon neutrality goals. Members include the Embassy of Sweden, Business Sweden, the Swedish Chamber of Commerce in Korea, and six Swedish companies: Atlas Copco Group, Ericsson Korea Partners, Volvo Cars Korea, Volvo Trucks Korea, Hitachi Energy Korea, and Höganäs Korea.
The festival featured interactive workshops, climate-themed art, and a roundtable on the Paris Agreement’s legacy, alongside cultural highlights such as a performance by the Plastic Quartet using recycled instruments. Sweden’s participation underscored its commitment to collaborative innovation and sustainable solutions.
Looking ahead, GTA will host the Sustainable Future Forum in early 2026 to spotlight joint efforts in energy, mobility, industrial solutions, and telecommunications for a carbon-neutral future.
